The problem behind Remimo
Why text messages make unreliable reminders
A message can be important when it is sent and almost invisible by the time someone needs it. Remimo began with that ordinary, frustrating gap.
Messages are organized around conversation. Reminders are organized around time. When something matters later, it should resurface later—not depend on someone finding an old message.
The message was seen—and still forgotten
The experience that led to Remimo was simple: send someone an important note hours beforehand, keep talking, and watch that note disappear beneath everything that follows.
“Don’t forget the appointment at 3.” The message is read and understood.
Plans, replies, photos, and other messages push the important note upward.
The message does not return. Remembering now depends entirely on memory.
Nobody has a clear shared place to see whether the thing was remembered or completed.
Messages and reminders do different jobs
The missing direction
Most reminder apps were built around one instruction: remind me. That is useful, but it does not cover the moments when one person is helping another remember.
Remimo adds that missing direction. Create the reminder, choose the friend, family member, or group it is for, and let the reminder appear when it becomes relevant. The recipient can complete it, and the sender can see that the loop is closed.
What Remimo is—and is not
Remimo is designed for everyday coordination: plans, errands, household responsibilities, birthdays, pickups, bills, and group activities. It helps people follow through without repeatedly sending the same message.
The idea in practice
Why not send another message later?
You can, but that requires the sender to remember twice. A scheduled reminder lets the timing travel with the original thought.
Does Remimo replace conversation?
No. Conversation is still the right place to discuss plans. Remimo gives the agreed action a place to resurface later.
Can Remimo remind me too?
Yes. Personal reminders live alongside the reminders you send and receive.
